Car tips easy to do for both men and woman! As an automotive enthusiast you’re always looking to get the most out of your ride. Whether its performance parts or interior accessories, you know the best brands and products to take your car beyond the boring base model. Installing a state of the art exhaust or adding a powerful subwoofer are simple ways to trick out your vehicle. But as these top 5 handy automotive tips and car hacks prove, you don’t always need to spend hundreds or thousands of dollars to get the most bang for your buck.

Car Tips and Tricks

Car Tips and Tricks very cheap and easy to do!

1. Car tips to De-Ice Your Windows and Locks using Alcohol or Hand Sanitizer

  • On those cold winter mornings, a frozen windshield or locks can add time to your commute that even the most built out car can’t make up. Fortunately, a couple of car tips can save you valuable time and make your morning that much more bearable. In a spray bottle, mix rubbing alcohol with a couple drops of dish soap. Simply spray your homemade de-icer onto your windshield or windows and watch the ice melt almost instantly. Remove any remaining ice with a scraper or even an old credit card and you’re on your way. That is, unless your locks are frozen. Luckily, this trick is even easier. After rubbing some hand sanitizer on your key and the lock, gently try your key. The alcohol in the hand sanitizer will melt the ice, just like it did with the windshield. Find more helpful tips on de-icing and preventing frost.

2. Car tips to Remove Hard Water Spots with Vinegar

  • If your last car wash left your vehicle with unsightly hard ward spots, these car tricks may be exactly what you’re after to get your ride looking its best again. The most effective and economical option is to use a vinegar solution. Fill a spray bottle with half vinegar, half water (you can up the vinegar concentration for more severe water spots). Once you’ve sprayed the vinegar mixture on your windows, soak a rough towel and lightly scrub the water spots. Once you’ve done this, allow the vinegar mixture time to soak in and reapply if it begins to dry out. When the vinegar mixture has done its job, simply use a dry towel or squeegee (you may want to spray your windows once more with plain water) to remove any remaining moisture.

3. Use a Staple Remover to Change Keys on your Key Ring

  • Not all of these auto tips actually affect your vehicle, but they will improve the experience of owning your vehicle. If you’ve ever tried using your fingernails to pry apart a key ring, you know it can be a pain at best and damaging your keys at worst. All you need to make your life easier is a staple remover. Simply slide the staple remover’s teeth through the loops of your key ring and squeeze. The rings will spread apart and easily allow you to add your keys.

4. Use a Plunger or Go Pro Mount to Remove Dents

  • All of our helpful auto tricks work just as well if you’re daily driver is a rugged rig. And as a truck owner you’ve probably noticed how difficult it can be to fit your pickup into those tight parking spots. If you’ve come back to find your truck the proud owner of a brand new dent, you can skip the expensive body shop – all you need is a plunger or a GoPro mount. Pour some water over your plunger and attack the dent like you would a drain. This method is best to remove small or medium dents. If it’s not working you may need to add more water or the dent is simply too large to remove this way. In that case, you can always try a GoPro mount. Simply apply the suction cup portion to the dent and give it a swift yank.

5. Car tips to Stop your Vehicle from Overheating by Turning the AC Off and the Heater On

  • Chances are if you’ve ever owned a car you’ve had it overheat on you once or twice. Fortunately, if you’re driving and your vehicle is on the verge of overheating these last couple of tips can save your engine. First, if you’ve been using the air conditioning you need to turn it off immediately. Air conditioning stresses the engine and avoiding unnecessary stress can help prevent your engine from overheating. Second, and this may sound crazy, but you’re going to want to turn the controls to vent and turn your heater up to full blast. Your vehicle’s heater uses heat from the engine to warm up the cabin, so running your heater at full blast takes the heat from engine, significantly cooling it down. Source: autoanything.com

6. Car tips to clean your car lights for optimal visibility!

  • This is very easy to do using good old toothpaste or Jif (brand) general household cleaning product. Add a small amount of product to a damp cloth and rub on in circular movements. Leave to dry and rub off with a dry clean cloth. You can also finish with a window cleaner.
